The United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) is building new submarines of Project 636.3, code "Varshavyanka". This was reported by the corporation's press service.
Admiralty Shipyards USC and Sevmash USC are building submarines of Projects 636.3, 955A of the Rubin Design Bureau USC, and 885M of the Malakhit Design Bureau USC. At the Sredne-Nevsky Shipbuilding Plant USC, mine defense ships of Project 12700 are being built.
In addition, at the Northern Shipyard and the Amur Shipbuilding Plant, corvettes of Projects 20385 and 20380 of the Almaz Design Bureau USC are being built. At the Sredne-Nevsky Shipbuilding Plant USC, mine defense ships of Project 12700 are being built.
Characteristics of Project 636.3:
- submarine length — 73.8 m; width — 9.9 m, draft — 6.2 m;
- surface displacement — 2 thousand 350 tons, underwater — 3 thousand 100 tons;
- maximum immersion depth — up to 300 m;
- surface speed — 17 knots, underwater — up to 20 knots;
- main power plant — diesel-electric (main propulsion electric motor with a capacity of about 5 thousand 500 hp and two diesel generators 30DG with a capacity of 1 thousand 500 kilowatts each);
- autonomous navigation — 45 days;
- crew — 52 people.
