In the hall of the Expoforum convention and exhibition center at the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum, guests were greeted by bionic robot dogs. They were created by specialists from the Russian Technological University MIREA.
The robot dogs are designed to perform tasks where humans are at risk. They can monitor and observe, explore hard-to-reach places, and transport dangerous goods. The robots move actively, turn their heads, and even "sniff."
The robot dogs are intended for searching for people in emergency situations, as well as performing tasks in the fields of defense, intelligence, and communications.
Previously, specialists from NIIAS, part of RZD, began testing robots in the form of dogs. They will work in hazardous areas of the railway where the presence of people is undesirable.
