Specialists from NIIAS (part of Russian Railways) are testing robots in the form of dogs. They will be used in areas of the railway that are dangerous for people.
Robot dogs will monitor compliance with labor protection and transport safety standards, as well as conduct diagnostics of trains and infrastructure. They have already been tested at stations in the Moscow region. Experts assessed how the robots perform commands and maneuver in the area.
The data received from the "iron dogs" will be immediately transmitted to the operator's computer. In the future, robot dogs will be integrated into the ecosystem of the digital station.
