Kazan Aviation Plant will supply 11 Tu-214 aircraft to Aeroflot. This was announced by the head of Rostec, Sergey Chemezov.
We are currently working on the delivery schedule. In the future, they want more, of course. At the same time, they still have a general wish to refine these aircraft - they are designed for three crew members, and they are asking to switch to two crew members.
Work is underway on this solution.
The Tu-214 is a medium-range narrow-body passenger aircraft that features high fuel efficiency and a comfortable cabin. The airliner began production in 1996. It is manufactured by the Kazan Aviation Plant named after S. P. Gorbunov in Kazan, which is part of the Tupolev concern.
Earlier it became known that the Kazan Aviation Plant will not be able to complete the assembly of four medium-range Tu-214 aircraft by the end of this year. This is due to a shortage of engineers and the disruption of the updated delivery plan.
