Chery is completing its rebranding in the Russian market. Now, cars from the Chinese automaker will be sold under the Tenet brand. The first signs of the transition are already visible in dealer documentation, where the old name Chery is hardly found.
It is possible that in Russia, the Tenet brand will gradually displace the Chery brand — the first signs have appeared that such a proxy maneuver is likely.
One of the readers said that he was at a Chery dealer for maintenance. In the documents, only the name of the oil and filters is mentioned under the Chery brand. All other items are listed as Tenet.
Four crossovers under the Tenet brand will be presented in Russia before the end of the year. Their small-scale production will start by mid-2025 at the former Volkswagen plant in Kaluga.
