The first Tenet dealerships may open in St. Petersburg in April-May. Currently, Chery dealers are entering into agreements with a new legal entity representing the Tenet brand.
Initially, Tenet stores will be located next to Chery showrooms, as it is unlikely that the new brand will immediately be able to achieve the same performance as the Chinese brand in the Russian market.
In the future, it is planned to gradually replace Chery cars with Tenet cars in dealerships. However, it is not yet known when Chery will finally give way to Tenet.
The production of cars of the new brand has already begun at the plant in the Kaluga region. This year it is planned to produce 110 thousand units.
Earlier, Svetlana Vinogradova, CEO of the Rolf dealer holding, noted that the process of transforming Chery into Tenet is associated with serious risks. According to her, it will take a lot of time and significant financial resources to convince buyers who are used to the Chery brand to start trusting the new brand.
