The Beloyarsk NPP has joined the All-Russian action "Night of Museums." On May 18, residents and guests of Ekaterinburg will be able to inspect the nuclear facility. This was reported by the press service of Rosenergoatom.
At 19:00, 21:00 and 23:30, 3D tours of the power unit with the BN-800 reactor will start: guests will find themselves in the machine and reactor compartments, see the unit control panel and the Kurchatovskaya substation.
Visitors will be offered to try on the uniform in which nuclear scientists work in the reactor compartment.
Participants of the "Night of Museums" action are expected at the address: 124a Bazhova str. (creative cluster "L52").
The Beloyarsk NPP is located 45 kilometers from Ekaterinburg in the Sverdlovsk region. The station was put into operation in 1964. The NPP includes 2 power units with fast neutron reactors of industrial power level (BN-600 and BN-800).
