The total number of aircraft used by the Russian military and law enforcement agencies in 2025 is at least 2239 units. This was reported by the Technosphere of Russia publication with reference to an analytical report from Western sources.

In particular, in the air fleet of the National Guard, foreign compilers of reference information counted at least 9 Ил-76, 2 Ан-12, 12 Ан-26 and 6 Ан-7.
At the same time, analysts do not have information on the composition of the air forces of the Border Troops of the FSB of Russia, but the types Ан-26, Ан-72, Ил-76, Ту-134, Як-40 and СМ-92П are listed with a total number of about 90 units.
Analysts called the number of fighters and front-line bombers in service with the Russian Aerospace Forces, as well as missile carriers Ту-160М, Ту-22М3 and 55 Ту-95МС.
