PJSC Il May Face Bankruptcy Due to Debt of 38 Million Rubles

"VostokInvestProekt" Demands Court to Declare Aircraft Manufacturer Bankrupt

Grozny-based enterprise "VostokInvestProekt" has demanded that one of the largest Russian aircraft manufacturers, PJSC Il (part of Rostec's United Aircraft Corporation), be declared bankrupt. The company's debt exceeds 38 million rubles.

"VostokInvestProekt" filed a petition with the Moscow Arbitration Court on April 29 to declare PJSC Il bankrupt; the date for verifying the validity has not yet been set. The creditor explains the appeal to the court by the fact that the debtor did not comply with two decisions of the Arbitration Court of the Voronezh Region, which recovered funds from "Ilyushin."

The initial plaintiff in the first case was the Voronezh construction company LLC "Project Invest Stroy," which in October 2024 demanded to recover about 31 million rubles from PJSC Il in debt under a 2022 contract worth more than 313 million rubles for the performance of work "on the formation of an external corporate style, replacement of facade infrastructure, gates, roofs, landscaping of the territory" of the branch of PJSC Il — Voronezh акционерного самолетостроительного общества (VASO).

The contractor performed work worth about 92 million rubles, and the customer paid only slightly more than 61 million in advance. In 2024, the parties decided to terminate the contract, while Il undertook to repay the debt, but did not do so. The court fully satisfied the claim in December. Subsequently, the plaintiff assigned the rights of the claimant to "VostokInvestProekt," which provides consulting services.

PJSC Il is one of the leading enterprises in Russia for the development of aviation technology, producing and developing Il-114-300, Il-96-400/Il-96-300 aircraft for civil aviation, and Il-76MD-90A/Il-78M-90A for transport aviation.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Rostec will receive 100% of the shares of the "Sevastopol Aviation Enterprise".
