The authors of the "Za Rulem" portal told about the consequences that the 1.6 liter engine of the Lada Vesta car faced. Apart from oil consumption, the power unit had not previously given any alarming signals.
The pistons, valves and shafts were in good working condition. The hone mesh on the cylinder walls was preserved, which also indicates the absence of critical wear. The engine does not require major repairs.
Throughout its life, the Vesta had its oil changed according to the factory-prescribed regulations, every 15,000 km. The brand and grade were changed repeatedly for various reasons. There is no lacquer or resin inside the engine.
At the same time, the piston rings and valve stem seals were replaced. On other VAZ engines, they last more than 170 thousand km, but these were the only parts that exhausted their resource in the engine.
Earlier it became known that the new Lada Niva Sport turned out to be life-threatening due to many design flaws.
