Sergey Burlakov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Sports, has called on Russians to establish a family code word to protect themselves from fraudsters.
He warned that by the end of the year, every second Russian may encounter deepfakes — voice messages and videos from "relatives" created using AI. Soon, even calls with the fake voice of a loved one are possible.
To avoid getting caught, the deputy advises asking the interlocutor to name the family code word in an emergency situation.
