“Flying” T-80BVM tanks and TOS-1A “Solntsepyok” shown at the Victory Parade in Omsk

The T-80BVM is capable of literally sneaking up on enemy positions, and the “Solntsepyok” has no analogues in the world

Armored vehicles from the Omsk Transport Machine-Building Plant marched in a consolidated parade column in Omsk. On Victory Day, Omsk residents were shown for the first time the TOS-1A heavy flamethrower system combat vehicle and T-80BVM tanks.

The TOS-1A “Solntsepyok” heavy flamethrower system is one of the most formidable types of modern Russian weapons, which has no analogues in the world. Over the past few years, a significant modernization of the TOS-1A combat vehicle has been carried out.

Mikhail Krivosheev, an employee of the Omsktansmash plant, rode across the Cathedral Square as part of the crew of the legendary “Solntsepyok”. He was the first in the region to receive the honorary title “Hero of the Omsk Region.”

The parade viewers also saw two T-80BVM tanks. Its main “trump card” is a gas turbine engine. It is distinguished by quick preparation for launch and a special design, thanks to which the tank is practically not heard from the front projection. An experienced crew is able to literally sneak up on their tank to enemy positions.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the Russian BEC “Katran” will begin launching Skvorets-VMF kamikaze drones.
