Смотрите в оба: мошенники создают поддельные сайты по продаже авиабилетов и турпутевок

The deception is revealed only at the airport: at the check-in counter, passengers find out that their tickets do not exist

During the May holidays, there is a seasonal increase in fraud cases related to the sale of fake airline tickets or package tours. Attackers create fake websites of airlines and ticket marketplaces. They actively advertise them and promise citizens attractive discounts, the VTB press service reported.

Similar scams have been operating for several years, but on the eve of the tourist season they become more "relevant" for fraudsters. Scammers offer Russians plane tickets or tours with good discounts on behalf of the carrier. Unfortunately, victims only find out about the deception at the airport, when they find out at check-in that their tickets do not exist.

In order not to become a victim of fraudsters, you need to check the links. For example, VTB customers can do this directly in the online bank, in the "Security" section.

Russians should be attentive to offers with suspiciously low prices for airline tickets or tourist packages, especially if the information comes from unofficial sources, such as links in letters or messages in messengers. Fraudsters often use the tactic of "last tickets" or "limited offers" to create a sense of urgency and encourage a person to make a quick decision.

Earlier, fraudsters began to massively fake receipts for paying fines for alleged traffic violations recorded by automatic cameras. Attackers use fake letters that outwardly copy official notifications from the traffic police.
