Fraudsters most often use telephone calls and mobile malware to deceive Russians. In addition, they continue to "clone" bank cards, said Igor Kuznetsov, director of the expert division of Kaspersky GReAT.
If we talk about personal users, then this is primarily, of course, attacks by mobile malware, telephone fraud, or a combination of these schemes.
In Russia today, the problem of cloning bank cards and using them through NFC technology is relevant.
As for attacks on companies, the most common actions currently are those related to data encryption. Criminals not only encrypt and delete information, but also steal it. These are similar methods that serve different purposes.
Earlier, Kaspersky Lab conducted a study for World Password Day. Experts interviewed Russians and found that 88% forget their passwords, another 16% regularly lose access to accounts, 37% do it sometimes, and 35% rarely.
