The Kolomna Plant (part of TMH) has successfully manufactured and sent the 400th 11-26DG diesel generator to the Michurinsk Locomotive Repair Plant "Milorem". This was reported by the company's press service.
These new engines are installed to replace the outdated KTZ 2-2D49 diesels, also produced at the Kolomna Plant.
The 11-26DG diesel generator is designed for installation on heavy shunting locomotives, widely used at marshalling yards and for transporting goods from quarries. In particular, these diesels are installed under the re-motorization program on TEM7 and TEM7A shunting locomotives previously manufactured at the Lyudinovo Machine-Building Plant.
The 11-26DG diesel generator improves the efficiency of locomotive use, reduces maintenance and repair costs, and also reduces fuel operating costs. This makes it an important step in the modernization of rolling stock.
In 2025, the Kolomna Plant plans to produce 15 11-26DG diesel generators, of which 3 have already been sent to their customers. The continuation of production and the introduction of new technologies demonstrate the company's commitment to improving the quality and reliability of its products.
