Developers of the new Russian supersonic civil aircraft must comply with a number of requirements, including environmental ones, according to aviation expert Oleg Panteleev.
He noted that the documents on the public procurement website indicate that the purpose of the competition for research and development on the development of technologies for passenger supersonic aircraft is to find contractors for research work.
Scientists will develop technologies for the airframe, power plant, avionics, and aircraft systems for a supersonic civil aircraft.
The main challenge for a promising aircraft is environmental requirements, according to the documents. It must fly at supersonic speed but fit within the limits for sonic boom and noise levels. In addition, there are strict requirements for the power plant. It must provide a transition through the sound barrier and a long cruising flight at supersonic speed, while consuming fuel efficiently.
According to Oleg Panteleev, the competition is more of a formality, as the scientific center of international level "Supersonic" is working on future aircraft and has a work plan.
First, you need to understand what technologies are needed to create an aircraft. At the output, scientific organizations issue technology demonstrators and some solutions, know-how. And only then will companies design aircraft.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russia has set a goal to achieve import substitution in the production of machine tools up to 95%.
