The crew of the Russian T-80BVM tank destroyed a target from a record distance of 12 kilometers. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Recently, a deployment point was hit from a closed firing position at a distance of about 10 kilometers, while the record range was 12 kilometers, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation said.
The tankers received the target coordinates from reconnaissance drones, and fire adjustment is also carried out using a drone, so the consumption of shells is minimal.
T-80BVM is a further modernization of the T-80BV tank. The vehicle is equipped with a more advanced 125-millimeter 2A46M-4 gun, a Sosna-U multi-channel gunner sight, Relikt dynamic protection, and a modified gas turbine engine.
