United Engine Corporation (UEC) published a video about the development of the latest aircraft engine for domestic helicopters VK-650V. It expanded the range of domestic power plants for rotorcraft.
In addition to power plants for medium and heavy class vehicles, an engine for light helicopters has been certified and is ready for mass production. It is planned to be used on Ansat, Ka-226T and Mi-34. VK-650V is a completely Russian engine.
When creating it, engineers used structural solutions and the latest materials. Some components of the VK-650V were made using 3D printing.
Earlier www1.ru reported that there is a huge queue for import-substituted MS-21, the liners will have to wait.
