Life Made Easier for Gardeners: Over 2000 Seasonal Routes Added to Yandex Maps

Track Bus Movements in "Transport" Mode

Yandex has updated its mapping service. The improvements will help simplify trips for gardeners.

Now, Yandex Maps users have access to over 2000 seasonal bus routes that connect dacha settlements in all regions of Russia. Gardeners will be able to view the schedule and route of the bus to their desired settlement directly on the map, which will help them better plan their trip to the plot using public transport.

In "Transport" mode, you can track the movement of buses, which are displayed on the map in the same way as city routes. If you need to find information about a specific bus, simply enter its number, for example, "bus 14". A highlighted route, moving icons, and a card with stops and schedules will appear on the screen. In addition, you can find out which transport will arrive at the desired stop by clicking on it on the map. The service constantly updates data on the location of transport, receiving signals from its sensors.

Seasonal public transport routes will operate in Russian regions during the dacha season. According to the service, the largest number of dacha routes this year are registered in the Chelyabinsk (123 routes), Irkutsk (94 routes), and Kemerovo (87 routes) regions.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that in Yandex Maps, over 47,000 kilometers of streets in major Russian cities have been digitized.
