The Russian Ministry of Defense has recovered 87 million rubles from the Almaz-Antey Concern for disrupting the delivery of the aviation and air defense control system. This decision was made by the Arbitration Court of Moscow.
Initially, the military department planned to receive 499 million rubles from the concern, but Almaz-Antey achieved a more than fivefold reduction in the penalty. The amount of the penalty was recalculated due to the moratorium in effect in 2022 and the lower key rate of the Central Bank. Now the parties have a month to appeal the decision.
The development of a promising automated air defense and aviation control system based on unified integrated automation equipment (CSA) has been underway since 2011.
It was expected that the final stages of the project, including the launch of the system into mass production, would be carried out by the Concern as early as the end of November 2014. However, as of January 27, 2025, the last stage of the project has not yet been completed.
The Almaz-Antey Air and Space Defense Concern is one of the largest enterprises in the defense industry, producing air defense equipment, including the latest S-500 Prometheus anti-aircraft missile system.
