They Don't Need Roads: Titan Armored Vehicles with Kornet Missiles and a Turbocharged Engine Enter Service with the Military

The combat vehicle's body reliably protects the crew from small arms

The Russian military has received highly protected K-4386 ZA-SpN-S Titan armored vehicles. Specialists from Remdiesel developed the combat vehicles based on the Typhoon-VDV with increased mine protection of the 2nd level and ballistic body protection of the 5th class.

According to this standard, class 5a protects soldiers from the effects of an AKM assault rifle with a 57-B3-231 cartridge with a BZ (special) bullet weighing 7.4 g and a speed of 720–750 m/s. The armored vehicle is equipped with a 350 hp turbocharged diesel engine, a mechanical gearbox with a two-stage transfer case, and a fully independent suspension for all wheels.

The curb weight of the vehicle reaches 12,000 kg, the gross weight is 14,000 kg. The vehicle is equipped with wheels that can withstand being hit by small arms. Even if a tire bursts, the vehicle can continue to move at speeds up to 50 km/h.

The K-4386 is equipped with a Kornet anti-tank missile system and a protected turret with a 12.7-mm Kord machine gun. The baggage compartment houses rounds for the ATGM, and a 120-mm mortar is mounted in the rear.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the Su-30 fighter overshadowed the Superjet SJ-100 in the test flight video.
