An updated prototype of the Lada e-Largus has been spotted on the factory grounds of AvtoVAZ — an electric car whose sales in Russia are still counted in single units.
According to "ASM-Holding", only one such station wagon was registered in the first quarter of 2024. Insiders suggest that the Togliatti-based auto giant continues to refine the design, seeking to reduce costs and increase the model's appeal.
The published photos show changes: there are no roof rails and black moldings on the doors, and the body handles are not painted. At the same time, the signature wheels with an asymmetrical pattern and stickers indicating the electric drive are preserved.
According to insiders, the key improvement concerns the battery pack — it is planned to be moved from the engine compartment to the fuel tank area, which will increase the capacity from 61 to 64 kWh and increase the range.
The starting price of the e-Largus, taking into account government subsidies, is 2.99 million rubles, which, according to the manufacturer, complicates commercial success. Currently, all manufactured copies are assembled for individual orders, and there are no test batches.
At the same time, work is underway in Togliatti on other electric vehicles — e-Aura and e-Niva, which currently exist only as prototypes.
