In honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, from May 8 to May 10, 2025, historical call signs will be temporarily used in radio communication between pilots and air traffic controllers at the airports of St. Petersburg and Volgograd: "Leningrad" and "Stalingrad".

The decision was made by the Federal Air Transport Agency of Russia (Rosaviatsiya) as part of the preparation for the celebration of Victory Day.

During the specified period, dispatchers at Pulkovo Airport (St. Petersburg) will use the call signs "Leningrad-Approach" and "Leningrad-Control", and dispatchers at Gumrak Airport (Volgograd) - "Stalingrad-Approach" and "Stalingrad-Control".

Pilots approaching these airports will also use the corresponding historical names when communicating with dispatchers.
