Первая репетиция парада ко Дню Победы прошла в Москве

The column of military equipment was led by the historical T-34 tank

The first rehearsal of the parade for the 79th anniversary of Victory Day took place in the capital on Friday. The preliminary pre-holiday procession ended with a demonstration of military equipment. Two more such "test" parades are expected on May 2 and May 5.

According to established tradition, the column was headed by the historical T-34 tank. It was followed by various BTR-80s, "Yars", "Typhoon", "Tiger", the Iskander missile system and other military equipment.

The column of military equipment passed along Tverskaya Street. Despite the bad weather conditions and early hours, many people gathered to watch the procession.

In connection with the rehearsal, Tverskaya Street, Petrovka, Mokhovaya, Solyanka, as well as Kadyshevskaya, Ustinskaya and Kremlin embankments were blocked at 5.30. From 5 to 8 a.m., it was impossible to travel by motor transport along the section of Volgogradsky Prospekt and Projected Passage No. 3502, as well as along the Garden Ring from Taganskaya Square to Novinsky Boulevard.

It was previously noted that the launchers of the Yars mobile ground-based missile systems arrived in the capital to participate in the parade.
