The Joint Stock Company "Central Research Institute for Precision Machine Engineering" (TsNIITochMash, part of Rostec) has begun searching for a contractor for the technical re-equipment and reconstruction of special production.
The purchase is being announced for the third time, with an initial price of 213.8 million rubles. The two previous attempts in February and March ended in failure.
No applications were received for the first purchase, and only one participant applied for the second purchase, but their application was rejected due to errors.
However, the deadlines for completing the work are very tight. According to the technical specifications, the work must be completed no later than September 30, 2025.
TsNII is a developer and manufacturer of small arms, ammunition, combat equipment for military personnel, small arms simulators, means of protection against high-precision weapons, and weapons for the Airborne Forces.
Among the most well-known examples are the Kornet ATGM, the Ratnik combat equipment set, the Tochnost sniper complex, the Vintorez rifle, the latest Lotos self-propelled artillery gun, the Nona family of self-propelled guns, and others.
