S7 Group intends to begin mass production of the Tango four-seater light-engine training aircraft in late 2026 - early 2027.
Currently, the aircraft flight test program is ongoing, and the manufacturer aims to start mass production at the turn of 2026-2027.
S7 clarified that they have received a large number of requests for the purchase of aircraft. State-owned enterprises and flight schools are mainly interested in Tango.
The Tango four-seater light-engine aircraft was developed on the technical base of S7 in Torbeevo. In September 2024, the aircraft made its first flight at an airfield in the Moscow region.
Initially, Tango was equipped with a Belgian-made UL Power 520is engine, but even then S7 was working on creating its own engine of similar power. In February 2025, the holding presented the APD-520 engine at the NAIS-2025 exhibition. The first sample of the power plant is currently undergoing testing.
Earlier www1.ru reported that UAC revealed the purpose of the flap track fairings on aircraft.
