American automotive journalists have evaluated the Lada Niva SUV, released in the Russian market in the new Sport version. The portal Motor1.com hinted that if Lada Niva Sport were sold in the USA, it would not be subject to the new import tariffs introduced by the current administration of Donald Trump.
Editor Christopher Smith stated that if the car were officially available in the USA, it would be very popular due to its cost.
Compared to the basic Niva, the power has increased significantly (from 83 to 122 hp), but the acceleration dynamics to 100 km/h leave much to be desired.
