Дронопорт Skyward с автозаменой аккумуляторов для БПЛА разработали в Саратове

Mass production of the station will begin in 2027

The Saratov State Technical University named after Gagarin has developed a prototype of a ground-based station for unmanned aerial vehicles with automatic battery replacement. This was reported by the press service of the "NTI Platform."

The flight time of a drone averages 30-40 minutes, and charging the batteries can take from one to five hours. During this time, it is necessary to involve a specialist who will monitor the charging and change the batteries. The authors of the project propose to simplify the process of charging and replacing batteries, making it automatic.

The droneport is called Skyward. It includes a mechanism for replacing batteries, a wireless charging system, a dome to protect against weather conditions, and a battery mount.

One of the key features of the new station is the contactless charging method, which will help avoid problems associated with oxidation, icing, and contamination of contacts. This will ensure uninterrupted operation of the station in various weather conditions. In addition, the system solves the issue of compatibility with existing drone models, allowing the connection of external batteries of the required voltage.

The developers plan to launch mass production of the stations by 2027. Potential customers of the stations could include emergency rescue services, including the Ministry of Emergency Situations, energy companies, delivery services, construction and telecommunications companies, as well as agricultural enterprises.

Earlier www1.ru reported that in Russia they developed a droneport for operation in extreme conditions.
