Russia Increases Range of FPV Teams to Protect Navy and Airfields

New "Pik" FPV Tower Helps Neutralize Enemy Drones

Russia has a new "Pik" FPV tower in a complex to protect Navy ships and military airfields from drones. The design was developed at TsKBR.

According to Dmitry Kuzyakin, General Director of TsKBR, in an interview with TASS news agency, "Piks" with a hundred-meter cable are installed on the towers of command and control centers of airfields and ship masts to ensure stable communication. This gives the FPV drone pilot additional range.

An armored cable connects the ground equipment to the antenna. The "Pik" tower is fully controlled from the ground using a remote control. The device does not need to be dismantled to make any changes to the settings.

The developers do not specify the range the antenna helps to work with. But Kuzyakin noted that the "Pik" FPV tower "significantly increases the range of drone use and allows the operator to work from cover". This helps combat teams save the lives of personnel.
