The “Piltun” rescue vessel of the Marine Rescue Service took part in EMERCOM demonstration exercises ahead of the VI International Arctic Forum “Arctic – Territory of Dialogue” in Murmansk.
During the exercises, specialists successfully extinguished a fire that broke out on board the vessel in the port water area.
“Piltun” is a multifunctional emergency rescue vessel of the MPSV12 project, built at the Nevsky Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant of USC. It is designed to eliminate emergency situations, extinguish fires on ships and platforms, as well as conduct rescue operations.
