The Committee of the Federation Council on Economic Policy is collecting proposals to support the production and sale of Russian electronics — smartphones, tablets, laptops — in order to present them to relevant departments.
Today, the digital technology market is estimated at 500 billion rubles. At the same time, Russian companies occupy less than 12% of its volume. Experts believe that without state support, in a year or two, these 12% may decrease to 1-2%, or at best, to 3%.
Despite the growing consumer interest in domestic electronics, some difficulties remain: high key rate, strong presence of foreign brands, consumer skepticism regarding the quality of Russian devices, as well as their relatively high cost.
Market participants proposed a set of regulatory measures. Among them is the creation of "Russian shelves" in retail and online stores, providing for quotas for guaranteed placement of domestic goods, as well as promotion of products through television, the Internet and radio.
The introduction of special conditions for consumers is also being discussed, including cashback, which will make the purchase of Russian smartphones and tablets more profitable.
Another measure is the optimization of the list of parallel imports with a reduction in the list of imported brands allowed for import into Russia, and the introduction of a complete ban on the use of foreign electronics in state structures.
