Спасёт всех на Севморпути: достраивается российское аварийно-спасательное судно «Керченский пролив»

The vessel needs to travel 1,200 km by river tugs in 20 days for completion and testing

The multifunctional emergency rescue vessel "Kerch Strait" has departed from the Amur Shipbuilding Plant of the USC in Vladivostok. It is being moved by river tugs and will travel 1,200 km in 20 days. To ensure the vessel arrives safely, two pontoons manufactured at ASZ have been welded to it, which will provide the necessary draft when passing through rapids.

The "Kerch Strait" is an MPSV06 project emergency rescue vessel with its own helicopter pad, capable of performing icebreaking operations in port and near-port waters, in freezing non-Arctic seas with ice thickness up to 1.5 meters. The vessel can even operate on the Northern Sea Route.

Vessel characteristics:

  •  length — 86 meters;
  • width — 19 meters;
  • power — 7 MW;
  • speed – 15 knots;
  • cargo hold capacity — 800 m3;
  • container capacity — 12 FEU;
  • deadweight at load line draft — 1360 t;
  • max. continuous power of main engines — not less than 2 x 3500 kW.

At the outfitting base in Vladivostok, the "Kerch Strait" will undergo final completion, painting, and finishing, as well as the necessary tests.

After that, the vessel will begin patrolling, emergency rescue duty in shipping and fishing areas, and offshore oil and gas fields. The "Kerch Strait" will also participate in servicing transport operations in ports, and engage in searching for and assisting distressed vessels. The floating rescuer will help with the evacuation and accommodation of people, and providing them with medical assistance.
