WDMMA Portal Counts 4,061 Russian Aircraft and Helicopters

Russia has taken third place in terms of the size of its military aircraft and helicopter fleet. This data was presented by The World Directory of Modern Military Aircraft (WDMMA).

Western experts counted 4,061 Russian aircraft and helicopters (3,677 units in the Russian Aerospace Forces and 384 units in the naval aviation of the Russian Navy). The rating also took into account Su-24, Su-34, Su-27, Su-35 fighters, MiG-29, MiG-31, MiG-35 interceptors, Tu-160, Tu-95, Tu-22 bombers, Su-25 attack aircraft, military transport Il-76, Yak-130 training aircraft, and Mi-8 helicopters.

According to WDMMA data, the United States has 13,052 aircraft. China is in second place with 5,357 aircraft. A total of 103 countries were included in the ranking.
