The crew of the counter-battery radar station (radar) "ZooPark-1M" managed to expose the location of the British self-propelled artillery unit (SPG) in the forest belt. This was reported by military expert Evgeny Damantsev.
Then the target designation was sent to one of the command posts and the ground communication complex of the army aviation of the Aerospace Forces of Russia with retransmission to the navigator-operator Ka-52M, or Mi-28NM, which from a low-altitude closed firing position used a subsonic multi-purpose tactical missile Kh-39 LMUR against L119. The gun was successfully hit from a distance of about 10 - 12 km.
"ZooPark-1M" is designed to reconnoiter the positions of enemy fire weapons, including multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), mortar and artillery positions, air defense systems and launchers of tactical missiles.
The complex is equipped with a three-coordinate monopulse radar with a phased antenna array. In the process of reconnaissance of the area, a discretely scanned radar beam probes the space, and also automatically detects flying mines, shells and missiles in the air and calculates their trajectory.
ZooPark-1M conducts reconnaissance of fire targets at a range of up to 23–27 km. The MLRS type MLRS complex detects in 45 km, and the starting positions of ATACMS tactical missiles — in 65 km.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Su-30SM2 fighters and Su-24M bombers practiced strikes against warships in the Baltic.
