The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) has begun flight tests of the certification part of the new Superjet-100 New aircraft. This was announced by the head of the corporation, Vadim Badeha, at a meeting with the head of the Russian government, Mikhail Mishustin.
The import-substituted Superjet has begun the flight phase of certification tests.
Badeha noted that Russia is the only country in the world that independently develops and produces 100% of the materials, elements, technologies, and units necessary for aircraft construction.
Certification tests of the SSJ-100 began in June 2024, while the aircraft equipped with the old Russian-French SaM146 engine is currently being used.
Earlier www1.ru reported that UAC will begin flight tests of the SSJ-100 New with domestic PD-8 engines.
