Russian universities should integrate knowledge about artificial intelligence (AI) into the curricula of all fields of study. This was stated to journalists by the Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov.
In his opinion, regardless of their specialty, students should receive high-quality knowledge in the field of AI, which will change the structure of modern industries.
Whoever we are training, a lawyer, an economist, a historian, a philosopher, not to mention engineers, specialists in the field of natural sciences, chemists, biologists - we must give good modern knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence.
The head of the Ministry of Education and Science added that new industries and economies require the training of specialists of a new type. Thus, unmanned mobile systems are becoming an important technology. Their design and operation require engineers with relevant knowledge.
The Minister emphasized that changes in the higher education system must meet modern labor market requirements. Training specialists in the field of AI is a long-term task that will be relevant for many years to come.
