«Oreshnik» missile system will be deployed outside of Russia for the first time

Lukashenko said that «Oreshnik» will soon enter service with the Belarusian army

The Russian «Oreshnik» medium-range ballistic missile (MRBM) will soon enter service with the Belarusian army. This was announced by the President of the Republic, Alexander Lukashenko.

According to him, Belarus has already received tactical nuclear weapons.

The newest «Oreshnik» hypersonic weapon systems will soon enter service with the Belarusian army.

Lukashenko added that the launch part for this missile is already being produced in Belarus.

We expect to receive several missiles, and we will make the launchers.

Alexey Polishchuk, the head of the Second Department of the CIS countries of the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated that the deployment of «Oreshnik» in the neighboring republic will be organized according to the agreement of the heads of both states.

The maximum range of «Oreshnik» is 5,500 km. The missile is capable of carrying a warhead weighing up to 1.5 tons and developing a speed of up to Mach 10 (about 12.4 thousand km/h). At the moment, none of the anti-missile systems are able to shoot down «Oreshnik».

Earlier www1.ru reported that the Ka-52 attack helicopter was the first to hit a long-range kamikaze drone converted from a light aircraft.
