The Federal Security Service (FSO) has received the latest domestic "Atlet" vehicle. Mass production of the vehicle began in 2022.
According to open sources, the armored vehicle has a 4x4 wheel arrangement and can be a three- or five-door configuration.
Compared to the "Tiger", the payload has increased to 1.6 tons, and the mine resistance has been increased to 2 kg in TNT equivalent.
Also, depending on the configuration, the "Atlet" can carry up to eight soldiers. From the factory, the armored vehicle can be equipped with an AGS-17 grenade launcher, a "Kord" machine gun, and a "Pecheneg". Under the hood is a high-torque and powerful diesel engine — a domestic 240-horsepower YaMZ-5347.
