Currently, Belarus is manufacturing launchers for the medium-range ballistic missile (MRBM) Oreshnik and is awaiting the arrival of Russian missiles. This was announced by the head of the republic, Alexander Lukashenko.
When I delved into this problem, it turned out that besides the missile, everything else had to be manufactured, and we are doing it in Belarus. We are already virtually finishing several launchers intended for the Oreshnik.
On Thursday, Lukashenko arrived in Moscow on an official visit. The trip includes negotiations with his Russian counterpart. The head of the Second Department of the CIS countries of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Alexei Polishchuk, noted that the deployment of Oreshnik in the neighboring republic will be organized according to the agreement of the heads of both countries.
The editor-in-chief of the magazine "National Defense", Igor Korotchenko, emphasized that the decision to supply Oreshnik missile systems to Belarus could be made as early as March 13.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russia will sell India engines for T-72 tanks for $248 million.
