The system redistributes functions from failed computing units to working ones

The State Corporation Rosatom will implement a unique power management system at the Karmalinovskaya wind power plant (WPP, located south of the city of Novoalexandrovsk in the Stavropol Territory).

The equipment was developed by specialists from Rosatom Automated Control Systems (RASU). The system redistributes functions from failed computing units to working ones in just 1–2 seconds without human intervention.

The solution ensures high reliability and stability of the WPP, and also reduces operating costs. Thus, Rosatom is moving towards the concept of "unmanned" equipment maintenance.

The cluster architecture of the complex meets both the latest trends and the current market requirements for digitalization of energy facility management.

The use of secondary systems is an effective way to reduce the amount of equipment and reduce the cost of the hardware part of control systems. This will be in demand at many renewable energy facilities.
