The lead trawler-processor "Kapitan Sokolov" of project 170701 was built at Severnaya Verf in St. Petersburg. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS).
The construction and testing of the trawler were carried out under the technical supervision of specialists from the Baltic Branch of RS. The set of documents for the vessel was issued on March 7.
The large freezer trawler "Kapitan Sokolov" was built by order of the Norebo fishing group. The vessel is designed for fishing cod, haddock and other types of fish.
It houses a fish processing factory with a capacity of up to 150 tons of frozen fish and canned food per day. The freezing equipment can store up to 1020 tons of fish, up to 334 tons of fish meal and up to 95 tons of canned food.
