First Kilowatt-Hours in Turkey and Bangladesh: Rosatom Announces Goals for 2025

Likhachev: We Will Develop Cooperation with CIS and BRICS Countries

Rosatom's key tasks for 2025 include obtaining the first kilowatt-hours at commissioning facilities in Turkey (Akkuyu NPP) and Bangladesh (Rooppur NPP). This was stated by the head of the state corporation, Alexey Likhachev.

Large-scale construction of nuclear facilities within the country with the creation of a fourth-generation technological landscape will strengthen our leadership in the global market in the horizon of the 2030s.

Likhachev added that the corporation will develop cooperation with BRICS+ and CIS countries, as well as create new alliances and partnerships. Among the important tasks, he mentioned the implementation of the contract for the construction of a small nuclear power plant in Uzbekistan.

Rosatom specialists will also continue to work in the following areas:

  • digitalization
  • technological independence of critical infrastructure
  • environmental projects
  • medicine
  • creation of composites
  • development of the Northern Sea Route
