A ship strike group consisting of small missile ships (MRK) of the Baltic Fleet "Naro-Fominsk", "Grad" and "Zeleny Dol" of project 21631 code "Buyan-M", as well as the missile boat "Dimitrovgrad" of project 1241 "Molniya" were involved in exercises to launch training strikes with cruise missiles at the "enemy".
The missile boat "Dimitrovgrad" acted as the "enemy" ship. The exercises were held in a complex jamming environment with the use of electronic warfare equipment from both sides.
In the designated areas of the Baltic Sea, small missile ships carried out electronic launches of anti-ship cruise missiles.
MRK project 21631 (code "Buyan-M") are multi-purpose missile ships of small displacement, armed with a vertical launcher of the 3R-14UKSK complex for 8 Kalibr or Onyx anti-ship missiles.
The system allows you to strike with high-precision cruise missiles, both at sea and at ground targets at a distance of 220-500 km.
