Modernized BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles, after being equipped with the "Berezhok" combat module, have significantly improved their characteristics. The senior mechanic-driver of the armored group with the call sign "Farmer" spoke about the advantages of the updated combat vehicle.
According to him, much has changed in the weapons system. The vehicle received the Kornet anti-tank complex, self-guided missiles, an automatic grenade launcher, a 30 mm caliber cannon and a 7.62 machine gun.
The caterpillar [tracks] is new, it holds the road better. It works well, clearly. It moves smoothly, accelerates faster. Very good equipment, the machines have proven themselves.
Also, a laser guidance sight and a new "Cheburashka" appeared on the commander's seat of the BMP-2. This is what the soldiers call the control panel of the combat module, which looks like a video game joystick.
The principle of operation is simple - the turret with the gun turns in the direction of the tilt of the remote control. After pressing the buttons, fire is opened from the gun or machine gun.
