Footage of a Soviet BTR-152 in service with the American police has gone viral on social networks. The vehicle was photographed on the streets of Indianapolis.
Employees of the assault special unit were riding in the vehicle. Flashing beacons are visible in the front of the 152, identification marks are located on the sides, and a tail number is in the rear. Next to it is a Cadillac Commando V-100, which was actively used during the Vietnam War.

BTR-152 is an armored personnel carrier created on the basis of units and assemblies of the ZIS-151 truck. The vehicle was adopted in 1950. The armored personnel carrier had an open-top welded load-bearing hull.
It was in mass production from 1950 to 1955. Production continued until 1962. In total, 12,421 vehicles were produced at the Stalin Plant and the Bryansk Automobile Plant. It was in service with the Armed Forces of Russia until 1993.
