Russian military turned a T-80BV tank into a makeshift heavy armored personnel carrier: unique footage

Demand for armored personnel carriers in the troops is very high

Footage of another alteration by the Russian military has appeared online. They turned a T-80BV tank into a heavy armored personnel carrier.

The video shows that at least the gun has been removed from the combat vehicle. The improvised APC is already equipped with a familiar anti-drone frame, which has shown effectiveness in countering strike drones. The sides of the combat vehicle are covered with dynamic protection kits.

The T-80 is the only Russian tank with a gas turbine engine. The vehicle was adopted in 1976. In the West, the tank was nicknamed the "flying" tank for its famous acceleration to 80 km/h.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the newest minesweeper "Anatoly Shlemov" destroyed BEC and mines in the Pacific Ocean with fire from the AK-306 artillery.
