Hunter for "birds": Tor-M2 SAM system became the killer of Baba Yaga UAVs, Switchblade and Shark

High speed of drones will not be a problem for destruction

Crews of Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) on the line of combat contact confidently destroy all types of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was reported by the Russian military.

Recently there was a combat episode. There was a raid on the division command post - both reconnaissance UAVs and strike UAVs were used. That day there was intensive work, they worked out a full ammunition load on the targets, eight missiles.
Nikita Kotkin, head of the Tor-M2 SAM system crew

One of the targets recently destroyed by anti-aircraft gunners was the Shark reconnaissance UAV. It is these drones, as well as the Baba Yaga multi-engine UAV bombers, that now make up the majority of air defense units' targets. Also, since last year, they have been encountering American Switchblade kamikaze drones.

It has a high speed. And on the radar, I won't be able to understand what it is - a Switchblade or some other drone. But when we have acquired the target for tracking, the head of the crew can already visually distinguish it. Our vehicle is generally very good, so it is not difficult for it to shoot it down.
Kirill Rychkov, serviceman of the Tor-M2 SAM system crew

Earlier www1.ru reported that the release dates of the An-2 turboprop aircraft with the TVD-10B engine have become known.
