The completion of certification work on the regional aircraft Il-114 is scheduled for the end of this year, according to the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Anton Alikhanov.
According to him, the aircraft is already flying as part of certification flights.
We are currently aiming for October, so we can definitely expect the completion of all certification work by the end of the year.
Alikhanov noted that the aircraft is also considered promising for export.
The Il-114-300 passenger aircraft is a modernized version of the Il-114 turboprop aircraft. The aircraft is planned for operation on local airlines and is designed to replace the outdated An-24 and An-26 aircraft.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Rostec had transferred the latest equipment to the UAC for protecting Il-114-300 aircraft from lightning.
