First shots of the Lada Iskra Sport engine: 173 hp and no turbine

The power unit received a reinforced crankshaft and forged racing connecting rods

The first shots of the engine of the new Lada Iskra Sport model have appeared. Under the hood of the new AvtoVAZ product is a VAZ-21126 engine with a volume of 1.6 liters and 173 hp, but without a turbine.

The power unit received a sports intake and exhaust system, forged racing connecting rods and a reinforced crankshaft with increased stroke.

Maximum torque is 200 Nm. The engine control unit is equipped with a tuned launch control.

The racing Iskra differs from the racing Vesta in its smaller weight and dimensions, and from the racing Granta in the presence of a front subframe.

Iskra Sport received a 1.8 liter engine with 173 hp. The car is equipped with a hydraulic hand brake, rear brakes from Lada Vesta, a self-locking inter-wheel differential, special shock absorbers and stiff springs.
