Two drone landing sites to appear in Bashkiria in 2026

Sibay Airport and Pervushino airfield near Ufa are being considered for the sites

In 2026, it is planned to build two landing sites for unmanned aerial vehicles in Bashkiria. This was announced by Prime Minister Andrei Nazarov at a meeting dedicated to the results of Sibay's development in 2024.

The Prime Minister said that Sibay Airport and Pervushino airfield near Ufa are being considered for the sites. These sites are planned to be created as part of the national project "Unmanned Aviation Systems".

In August 2024, Bashkiria approved the Strategy for the Development of Unmanned Aviation Systems for the period up to 2030 and for the longer term up to 2035. One of the key areas of the strategy is the creation of a flight control center for unmanned aerial vehicles. It is assumed that the basic airfield for them will be "Pervushino", which will be connected by transport corridors with the cities of the republic.

Earlier it became known that the UAV development and assembly center in the special economic zone "St. Petersburg" will receive funding in the amount of 3 billion rubles. It will be located on a site in Shushary. The project is expected to be implemented in 2026.
